Dale Easley is a Professor of Environmental Science at the University of Dubuque, which he joined in 2005 after 15 years at the University of New Orleans.  He has been a volunteer math teacher in Kenya, a volunteer working on water wells in Haiti, and a Fulbright Fellow in Qatar.  His interests include environmental geology, statistics, and the intersection of science and culture. Currently, he focuses upon undergraduate research projects, such as lead in sediments, and storytelling in science.

Jim Sherry has given concerts and workshops across the United States, Europe and Asia. He teaches jazz history at the University of Dubuque and directs the New Horizons Silver Swing Jazz Ensemble in Iowa City. Prior to this he was a community organizer in New York City, taught at the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore School for the Arts, Chicago Public Schools, and Mahidol University where he was principal trumpet of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. He studied music at Yale University, earned his DMA from the Peabody Conservatory (2002), and has finished coursework for a PhD in music education at the University of Iowa.
